Week Twenty

Thomas is in a hurry to grow up!!  He insisted on drinking from Mommy’s cup (empty, so Mommy poured some formula in it).  He’s working on sitting up, eating new foods — he tried sweet corn and a small bite of applesauce this week — and is still working on rolling over.

Week Nineteen

This week, Daddy taught Thomas how to “ROAR” and he’s been doing it ever since, with a big ol’ smile on his face after each one.  Thomas also tasted avocado for the first time this week.  He LOVED it!

Week Eighteen

Thomas had his first taste of rice cereal this week (at the lake!) and is giggling more these days.  He’s full of smiles and such a laid-back baby.  🙂

Week Seventeen

For Tom, the past week has been full of practicing “raspberries”, “talking” and “singing”.  I love how he’s interacting more and more each day.  This past week, Thomas also met his Uncle Andy, Aunt Amy and cousin Evan!

Week Fifteen and Memorial Day Weekend

A lot of FIRSTS for Thomas this week:

• His first real, true belly laugh / giggle.  Melts this Mommy’s heart (and Daddy’s too!).
• His first toe-dip in the lake and on the sand.
• His first swim!  His friend, Wednesday’s first swim, too.
• His first “raspberries”, taught to him by Grandma Cindy. 🙂

Week Fourteen

Thomas took his first “awake” golf cart ride over the weekend at the lake and he began wearing size 2 diapers today. He’s such a smiley, happy baby!

Week Thirteen and First Zoo Visit

Also, Mother’s Day and Happy THREE MONTHS to Thomas this past week.  I know I say it often, but he really is growing SO fast and learning so much!  Thomas can now hold his head up pretty steadily on his own, he’s cooing a lot (he’s really such a happy, chill baby) and he’s on the verge of busting out with a giggle.

Week Twelve and First Lake Visit

It’s the very beginning of lake season and we took advantage of the great weather over the weekend to go open up things at our lot at Jellystone.  Thomas thoroughly enjoyed being outdoors!

Week Eleven and Happy Eighth Birthday, Big Brother!

So, I admit it.  Last night (Sunday, April 29) was the first night I tucked Thomas into his crib not completely asleep.  Yup, I’d had no problem holding him until he fell asleep every night leading up to this.  I got to thinking as I held him last night, I really should start putting him in bed before he’s completely asleep so he begins learning to fall asleep on his own.  Well, 9:00 pm last night, we did it.  I laid him down, tucked him in and kissed him good night.  Within minutes, he was fast asleep for the night.  He woke up a very happy boy at around 7:30 this morning!

Today is big brother Dalton’s 8th birthday.  We celebrated with family and friends on this Saturday past, and Dalton has requested homemade pizza for his birthday dinner this evening.  Below are photos from Week Eleven.  Enjoy!
